Native to the forests of Nepal, Bhutan, India, China, and Myanmar along the eastern Himalayas, the Red Panda is an important part of its mountain ecosystem. By dispersing seeds, recycling nutrients, and helping regulate bamboo growth, red pandas support forest health and biodiversity. Sadly, they face growing threats from habitat loss, poaching, and climate change.
