Ruby has always had a passion for fine details, primarily focusing on realism influenced by her local environment. As a chicken keeper for over a decade, she was captivated by the intricate patterns and varying shades of colours that comprise a feather, which led her to develop a more abstract style and initiate her chicken project. Exploring themes related to factory farming, Ruby enjoyed the opportunity to depict one of the worlds highest populated animals through intricate flowing lines and colour, resulting in oil paintings that reflect her vision of their beauty.
