Lear's Macaw is a striking blue parrot native to Brazil. This endangered species plays a vital role in the Caatinga ecosystem by dispersing licuri palm seeds, helping maintain the health of its habitat. Lear's Macaw faces significant threats from the illegal wildlife trade and the decline of licuri palms caused by livestock grazing.
